    Strange:

Single stepping through the code (for colored triangle 3_1) I notice that the shader source has a different version to the .vert file… Changing it to 430 within the debugger and, voila, a colored triangle 🙂
So it’s not loading from 3_1 Content Effects…. But from
    Debug(or Release)\Content\Effects…

My next attempt gives (cube demo)

glGetUniformLocation() did not find uniform location

    Progress (of a sort)

    Hi,
Just started with OpenGL essentials and getting the same problems.
3_1 onwards give shader compilation errors: e.g.
    3_1:

    glCompileShaderO failed.
Vertex shader failed to compile with the following errors:
ERROR: 0:8: error(#279) Invalid layout qualifier “Invalid xfb_buffer, the xfb_buffer qualifier must be defined !”
ERROR: error(#273) 1 compilation errors. No code generated

    5_4:

    glCompileShaderO failed.
Vertex shader failed to compile with the following errors:
ERROR: 0:10: error(#279) Invalid layout qualifier “The value of xfb_offset must be multiple of 4 or 8!”
ERROR: error(#273) 1 compilation errors. No code generated

Not sure if the error reporting is accurate?

Which seem to be the main errors…
Have tried changing the version to 430 and 330 without success.
Running a AMD 6890 with the latest (14.4) drivers and using VS Express 2013 under Windows 7 (64 bit).

Anyone been able to work around these problems?
